Adam’s grounding in property development affords him an affinity with design that makes him a natural fit as director at Ridley. In 2009 he received the RAIA National Architecture Award for Multi-Unit Residential for the Pindari project in Randwick, Sydney. He understands the benefits of quality architecture and can offer first-hand insights from the client’s perspective. A founding director of Funds Management company EG in 2001, and a director of the Geha family business, Adam has overseen $800m worth of property acquisitions and $600m in property developments, lending him an invaluable understanding of the client-side delivery of architecturally outstanding projects.
Prior to joining EG, Adam worked in Macquarie Bank’s corporate advisory and project finance divisions, advising on a number of high profile transactions including MIG’s acquisition of a portfolio of European infrastructure assets later valued at over $1.5b, the London to Birmingham private toll road, and the refinancing of a $2.3b debt portfolio for Boral Limited. While at university, Adam’s outstanding academic results led to a paralegal position at Freehill Hollingdale & Page lawyers and a lecturing role in financial accounting at the University of Sydney.
A self-professed ‘people person’, Adam is a proactive leader and his charisma and personality allow him to connect with many people on different levels.
Adam was initially involved in an advisory and mentoring position to the Ridley leadership team. Seeing the potential of Ridley, he increased his involvement to become an active Executive Director and part owner through a formal investment by his Funds Management company, EG.
