Lee is a problem solver and takes a practical and hands-on approach to managing and growing Ridley’s international operations. Lee’s rural beginnings have fostered a proactive approach and ability to be resilient and adaptable to change, traits he believes has underpinned his success as both an architect and a practice director.
With over 25 years experience, Lee has seen how the production and delivery of buildings has evolved from hand-drawings to CAD and now REVIT, BIM and virtual design and construction technologies. He believes Australia is at the forefront of this change, which is one of the reasons he joined Ridley.
Lee has been involved in a large number of projects from design phase into construction and operation. He knows how to harness the latest technologies to build buildings in the virtual world creating streamlined documentation that facilitates more cost and time efficient projects. In the future, Lee believes we will move completely away from 2D drawings into the 3D virtual world resulting in streamlined and more effective construction and procurement methods.
A registered Architect in Perth, Western Australia, Lee joined the Ridley team in 2015 after spending seventeen years in London, UK where for 10 of which he was a Director of Goddard Manton Architects specialising in high density mixed use commercial and high-rise residential projects. Prior to working in London he spent six years in Perth delivering catholic education projects.
