Tom always knew he wanted to be an architect, as a child he worked alongside his uncle in his architecture studio cleaning his rotring pens and drawing. He saw architecture as a way to transform his love of art into something noble, meaningful and solid, something that can be built, walked into and around.
A registered architect in the UK, Tom has worked for some of the world’s most respected design studio’s winning numerous awards and creating cutting edge buildings from residential to large public and commercial projects in the United Kingdom, Europe & Australia.
Tom was the second person to be employed at Ridley, recognising an opportunity to make a difference to the industry and be at the forefront of the emerging field of digital construction. During his time he has been involved in concept and detailed design development, direct liaison with clients and stakeholders, consultant coordination, management of tender process and contract administration.
Tom believes digital technology delivers the opportunity for greater consistency and offers designers more breathing room. With his extensive experience as a design architect he specialises in interpreting and translating design direction into something that is buildable. He is a connector of ideas and simply makes things work better, always living at the intersection of design and construction.
